In addition to the main stages with dozens of concerts per day, there are many experiences to live in the great moment of the reunion, in the City of Rock, including a new entertainment space – ESC Online Sports Bar – and the 7UP® Slide, which returns with yet more emotion and adrenaline.
The Family Tour, the PiscaPisca Ferris Wheel, Game Square, Continente Chef’s Garden, Rock Your Street and Somersby Pool Parties are also part of the range of experiences that fans will not want to miss.
The big reunion moment is almost here! There are 68 days left for the return of Rock in Rio Lisbon, which opens its doors on June 18 with lots of news, lots of energy and lots of entertainment. For everyone who loves strong emotions, even those who prefer a pool party, those who can’t live without sports and those passionate and curious about the gaming universe, get ready! In addition to the dozens of concerts that will take place at Parque da Bela Vista, Rock in Rio Lisboa brings to the City of Rock a range of unforgettable experiences for all tastes and ages, which no one will want to miss.
The doors open at 12:00 pm, followed by 14 hours of dynamics and entertainment a day, with plenty to do, see and hear, in an atmosphere of good mood and great energy. So, in order not to waste a minute of fun, the trick is to get to the venue early so you can make the most of each of the activities in the most varied spaces of the City of Rock.
And to ensure that the public doesn’t miss a thing, the Organization will soon launch the official Rock in Rio Lisboa app to help visitors enjoy everything the festival has to offer. In this app, the user will be able to enter the general program of the event and choose what he wants to experience in each of the spaces, thus creating his own personalized agenda that, on the day of the event, will remind him of each show/schedule he has made.
With only 68 days to open the doors, Roberta Medina, Executive Vice President of Rock in Rio, recalls that “this edition will be very special. After four years we are finally going back to live life and we have designed the festival’s program so that the public can enjoy this moment of reunion to the fullest, which we are sure will be absolutely unforgettable. Therefore, we bring several entertainment proposals in addition to great concerts and stage presentations, which include gastronomy, Gaming, sports, humor, dance, street animations, experiences on the Ferris wheel and on the slide, pool parties and dozens of activations that partner brands will bring to the City of Rock, filling and complementing an entertainment menu that starts at 12:00 pm and ends at 2:00 am. It’s worth getting there early and enjoying every minute.”
ESC ONLINE SPORTS BAR: A new space is born in the City of Rock
In addition to the stages responsible for bringing music and great shows to the City of Rock, there are many other spaces in the venue to visit and this edition brings with it a debut: the ESC Online Sports Bar.
Inspired by the famous bars dedicated to the sports universe, this space seeks to bring sport as indoor entertainment and provide the ideal environment for sharing good times. Offering various possibilities for fun, interaction and connection, the main objective of this area is to ignite the feeling, enthusiasm and vibration of the festival audience. After all, what else can mobilize crowds and make them vibrate in unison if not sports and music? Match!

Dedicated to sports lovers, the ESC Online Sports Bar offers diverse entertainment possibilities for the public in an accessible, interactive and shared way. With an inviting and impactful scenography, this space will have a bar with several food and drink options – including the Kids menu -, creating an atmosphere of a true Sports Bar. In addition, this space will present two ESC Online Stations – the ideal meeting point between friends to play classic games – which become true experiences presented by professional MC’s, who will narrate the quick matches of Beer Pong, Air Hockey, Table football, among other bar games available, taking place at the respective station.
These spaces are open to everyone who wants to participate and, while one arena is being prepared for Show Time, the other is free for everyone to have fun and even prepare for the time of their own match. In the end, the winners will have access to a Roulette that offers prizes. Those who feel less confident and prefer to be a spectator, both at the tables and around the playing area, will also have the opportunity to participate in interactions supporting players with various cheerleading accessories and betting on who they think will win: whoever gets it right also has the opportunity to win exclusive gifts.
7UP® SLIDE: The fun is back at Bela Vista Park
Also back is the 7UP® Slide, the most popular attraction in the City of Rock, which, in this edition, wants to elevate even more the emotion of flying over the clearing of the World Stage. For this, it brings a great novelty: a LED Wall screen strategically placed in the starting tower of the slide to echo the message that everyone wants to shout from above and create fun moments of interaction while the audience waits for their turn.
At 14 meters above the ground, the slide takes the most fearless for a flight of 180 meters, on a journey full of adrenaline and with an enviable view of the City of Rock. To all who participate in this unique experience, 7UP® also offers delicious cocktails with 7UP® Free in this space. In addition to the slide, during the day whenever you hear a siren, just run towards the iconic giant can of 7UP® FREE to be entitled to a delicious version of 7UP® without sugar and toast to good reunions.

During the two festival weekends, visitors can also count on several street attractions on the famous Rock Your Street, where plurality is celebrated in performances led by groups and collectives from different cultures around the world. And for those who prefer to cool off, Somersby Pool Parties are back bringing lots of excitement since the doors opening and whose lineup will soon be announced.
Cidade do Rock also has Continente Chef’s Garden, which reinforces gastronomy as one of the festival’s bets, seeking to bring greater diversity, flavor and awareness to the table and which will soon be unveiled; as well as Game Square, a gaming area with proposals for interactive, fun activities that bring generations and languages closer together.

The 9th edition of Rock in Rio Lisboa is scheduled for the 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th of June 2022, with more music and new content. In line with the Sustainable Development Goals promoted by the UN, these goals are already beginning to be achieved in the 2022 editions of the festival – in Portugal and Brazil – and they aim, over the next few years, to train 100,000 people, be garbage zero in all editions of the festival (0% waste in landfills), having zero food waste in all editions, involving 100% of the stakeholders in its sustainability policy, being a 100% accessible, inclusive and plural event, and guaranteeing all safety, health and well-being conditions suitable for 100% of those involved in the construction of the City of Rock.
