The calendar that the “globalist” will face in the season that now begins is ambitious. Portugal Rally Cup, Promo Rally Championship events, Legends rallies in Portugal and abroad and some challenges in All-Terrain are part of the attractive competitive “menu”.

Fafe, a county with the fitting name of “Catedral dos Ralis”, was the symbolic location chosen for the “kick off” of the 2023 season by Rui Madeira and Nuno Rodrigues da Silva.

The roar of the engine of the Mitsubishi Mirage of Tiago Almeida’s MPRO team woke up the bucolic village of Lagoa and, in this first test, the Japanese car debuted the beautiful decoration that will accompany the duo in the discussion of events integrated in the Promo Rally Championship, especially the disputed on dirt floors, in the Portuguese Cup, discussed in the Rally de Lisboa ESC Online and in the Rally das Camélias.

This line-up of events is an important part of an ambitious and challenging calendar that will also include Rui Madeira’s presence in some of the most important and well-known Legends rallies, such as Legend San Marino and Spirit, notably his debut at the iconic Rally Eifeel Germany , with the historic Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution being the “service weapon”, without leaving aside the possibility of Rui Madeira and Nuno Rodrigues da Silva competing in one of the races with a car whose “pedigree” is of the finest cut.

All-Terrain is also part of the team’s schedule.

In fact, it will be in Alentejo lands that the first competitive match will take place. At the commands of the JBRacing Can-Am, Rui Madeira and Nuno Rodrigues da Silva will compete in the Baja TT Montes Alentejanos | ESC Online, which runs from the 24th to the 26th of February.

And if Nuno Rodrigues da Silva, his faithful sidekick for more than three decades, will once again be the navigator on duty for most of the season, Rui Madeira will once again have a very special “co-pilot”: “in some competitions, I will be accompanied by my wife, who has a huge passion for rallies and a demonstrated aptitude for navigation!”.
